Our History

Griffis Paint & Touch up opened for business in 2020 and is run by a family with over 100 years of combined experience in automotive service management, reconditioning and auto body repair & paint.

Shortly after Jerry and Val Griffis relocated to Minneapolis, MN from a suburb south of Chicago in 1985, a conversation while appliance shopping set the wheels in motion for a career spanning nearly four decades. Jerry was informed about a job opportunity where he began honing his detailing and business management skills. Val joined him in 1990 to assist with managing their first independently owned and operating business. Aaron has been expanding his automotive skillset since he began working with his parents in 1996. Automotive market conditions have caused the Griffis family to work both for auto dealerships as employees and for periods where they solely worked for themselves running their own businesses.
